As a retailer I should welcome the changing of the seasons. New seasons bring new styles as well as new dog products, and I do look forward to seeing dogs move from the heat to the cooler weather, BUT I have to admit that I am holding on to Summer.

I am not ready to move into Fall and I bet if you asked most dogs they would be in agreement. Summer makes dog sun dresses, a delight for dogs and owners alike, but it also makes outdoor adventures like dog parks and trips to the cabin a favourite past time. We have been building another website called www.DogQuality.com to provide products specifically for older dogs and summer has made dog strollers and dog joggers a hugely popular way to allow your senior dogs to continue to come on long walks, and to get to parks and other outdoor adventures without straining, overheating or injuring themselves. How can I give this up?

Well I suppose dog strollers still have a place in the Autumn weather and I do love to see dogs get back into t shirts, sweaters, hoodies and coats so I think I will recover quite quickly, but I will go down fighting.

Let's hope for an Indian Summer this year!
